Did you actually go and see the movie "Battleship"? Like the movie Carter by "an obscure writer Barros or something like that" (your comment, not mine). Edgar Rice Boroughs, wrote the Tarzan series, heard of that!
Or is it, you don't like Tayler Kitsch?
According to MSN, and the people in the theater with us, it was a hit. Unlike Avengers, which I also liked, it had a single popularity while Avengers had several popular characters. This made Avengers a draw to a much larger popularity pool.
Hopefully you always see the movie you are reviewing. In 1977, a movie reviewer(Franklin), stated that a movie he reviewed would be out of the theaters in weeks, but the movie(Star Wars)lasted somewhat longer.

Sorry to say I was disappointed with the coverage of the Rose Parade. Sadly it wasn't up to par with previous years - the camera director should find a new line of work.
More specifically the camera shots were too brief, too close or too far away. Why not follow the float while the presenters are describing it. We mostly saw the front of the floats, not the side or back - the director quickly jumped to another scene[?!]. If a band passed by the the hosts were stuck trying to talk over the sound instead allowing us to hear it.
I realize the pace of the parade plays into this , but even with proper spacing the camera shots had a lot to be desired, typically pointed up the street[?!].
Also the banter between Bob & Stephanie is getting old – time to cool it or replace them.
This presentation felt very hurried. Since this event only happens once a year, why not do a good job!
This is for Sam (specifically - please pass on to Michaela, Mark, etc.)
How much longer will I have to hear things like Calgary, Canada - Vancouver, Canada - Toronto, Canada?????? We Canadians are "all growed up" now don't you think?? Vancouver Film Fesival, Toronto Film Festival, Calgary Film Festival, thousands of movies are filmed here - I would hope that people would know who we are. I never hear "Los Angeles, USA "or "Florida,USA" etc. It is becoming very annoying and is very condescending really. Even my Canadian sister, Michaela does it!!!!! We are known - we actually rate in the big world!! Or are you just catering to the general population of the U.S. that is ignorant about any other country other than their own (and even ignorant of that to some degree)? I am sure that most people watching you have a brain in their head and don't need coddling. And the ones that don't know where somewhere is can look it up if they are curious enough or care, just like I would. Quit perpetuating and catering to ingnorance. P.S. I love all of you at KTLA. I live in Vancouver and watch you every day. I love the family atmosphere and all the personalities on the show. I just can't go on without saying something about this issue. I hear the same on Letterman, Leno, etc. Help make it stop!!!! xoxoxo
