The Los Angeles Urban League has been at the forefront of identifying and addressing issues that are of concern to African Americans and other minorities in the City of Los Angeles for more than 86 years. The mission of the Los Angeles Urban League is to enable African Americans and other minorities to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power and civil rights through advocacy activities and the provision of programs and services in our uniquely diversified city and region.

Business Services Unit (BSU) The Los Angeles Urban League's Business Services Unit (BSU) is a division of our WorkSource Centers. Located at two of these WorkSource Centers (Avalon and West Adams), they offer entrepreneurs and small businesses one stop access to an array of specialized resources and information. To address the needs of business, the Center's Business Services Unit offers business assessment, technical assistance, business planning, marketing and human resource referral, training, and assistance.
