Ghosts have haunted the small screen for about as long as television has existed. Though nowadays ghosts are often portrayed as dark phantoms out to exact evil on the living, the earliest incarnations were mostly friendly or mischievous spirits that made for helpful, if invisible, roommates. Here's a look back at some of the more memorable TV spooks.
