SANTA ANA -- Four Orange County men are in federal custody after allegedly trying to rob a bank with a fake search warrant.
The FBI says the four men, along with one Nevada man, entered a Wells Fargo branch in Henderson, Nevada claiming their "warrant" allowed them to take all the money stored in the bank's vault.
When the bank's manager refused to turn over the cash, the men handcuffed him, and threatened him, federal agents said.
The men were arrested by Henderson police as they left the bank.
The man are identified as Eric Griffin, 39, of Henderson; Jonathan Miranda-Brewster, 25, of Orange County; Jonathan Gray, 24, of Buena Park; Brady Beach, 24, of Lake Forest; and Ryan Williams, 30, of Fullerton.
The warrant appeared to bear a stamp from the U.S. Federal Court in Las Vegas, but investigators say no such warrant was ever issued.
