The St. Louisan made famous for playing a Munchkin in "The Wizard Oz" has died.
The family of Mickey Carroll, 89, held a press conference Thursday afternoon to announce his death.
Carroll was only in one movie, but performed in Vaudeville and radio when he was younger. Later in life he was quite nostalgic about the role he played in the movie.
In 2007, Carroll and the six other surviving Munchkins received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
