Marijuana Found Hidden in Wheelchair (March 28, 2011) |
SAN DIEGO -- A 19-year-old man was arrested after U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers found five pounds of marijuana hidden inside the seat of a wheelchair.
Authorities made the bust at the pedestrian processing area at the San Ysidro International Port of Entry. Officers said they noticed the man, who was in a wheelchair, seemed nervous.
A drug-sniffing dog found three packages of marijuana weighing a total off about five pounds inside the seat of the wheelchair.
The man was arrested and turned over to local authorities and booked in the San Diego County Jail.
