Add / View comments | Discussion FAQMultnomah County... Must be Portland Oregon. Meth is basically a "white" drug and has been bad there for years. Yet they still get less time than those using and selling crack. I wonder why. No need to answer I know why.
Meth is one of the worst drugs, not only for those taking it, but for those dealing with a loved one who is a meth addict. Although the physical changes are dramatic, the changes mentally and emotionally are even more extreme. Meth turns the most kind, loving person into a a liar, a thief, a person with no hope or ambition-- basically an empty shell of a human being.
I have a lot of respect for the recovering addicts who were able to beat this drug and are now on a path to something better. My bf was an addict for 10 years, and has been sober for almost 5. He's been going to school for the last couple of years and now has goals and ambition in life. I met him while he was an addict (-I had no idea he was one), and it's not until he became clean that the full extent of an amazing person came out. So for any of those who are addicts, this drug can be beat- you must make a choice to choose life rather than the drug.
It has been well documented that this is all bulls**t. That is the biggest problem with the war on drugs, its all based on lies and the propaganda such as this. The war on drugs is HUGE business and truth is always the first to die.
