BRONX, NY -- Police are investigating the death of a 400-pound man, whose decomposing body was found stuffed in a closet.
Officers responding to another call, noticed a putrid smell outside the apartment.
Inside, they discovered the rotting, mutilated body of Angel Rondon wrapped in a blood-soaked laundry bag inside a kitchen closet.
"It's soaked," a police source told the New York Daily News.
"It's a river of blood coming from the bag, at least 8 pints."
An autopsy shows, the 52-year old Bronx man died from massive blunt force trauma to his head.
Police say he had been cut into pieces and stuffed into the bag.
A hatchet was reportedly discovered on the blood-covered kitchen floor.
Neighbors told the Daily News that Rondon was suspected of selling drugs from his sixth floor apartment at the Justice Sonia Sotomayor Houses in Soundview.
