SANTA ANA, Calif. -- A 16-year-old girl and her stepfather who have been missing from Kansas since Thursday have been found in San Diego, authorities say.
The white 2003 Ford Expedition that Patrick Porter and 16-year-old Jordan McKenzie Stuart from Overland Park, Kansas, were traveling in was located earlier in the day in San Diego County, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
Overland Park Police said Stuart was last seen on June 3 with her stepfather, 39-year-old Patrick Neal Porter, who is suspected of molesting her.
Police suspect Porter fled Kansas to avoid prosecution.
Authorities tracked Porter's cell phone and credit card records to Southern California.
