MORGAN HILL, Calif. -- An amber alert has been canceled after a one month-old girl abducted outside a church is found safe.
Officials say the infant was abducted from St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church at 17400 Peak Road in Morgan Hill at 1:57 p.m. Tuesday.
“Her mother had gone to the food bank here at St. Catherine’s and ran in for five minutes,” said Morgan Hill Police Capt. Joe Sampson.
“She left the girl in the car seat (with the keys still inside) and when she came out, the vehicle was gone.”
The infant was in a 1991 White Infinity Q45, with California plates, #5XJW448.
