Car Plunges Off Canyon Road |
AZUSA -- A teenage boy was killed and three other people were injured when their car plunged off a canyon road in Azusa late Monday night.
California Highway Patrol officers arrived on the scene, at mile marker 23 of San Gabriel Canyon Road, just before 11:30 p.m.
A Ford Mustang had driven off the rural road, and fallen 30 feet over a cliff, according to CHP Officer Patrick Kimball.
Steven Alex Sanchez, 19, of Pico Rivera, was killed in the accident.
Two other passengers were transported to hospitals with moderate injuries. The driver was treated for minor injuries.
The cause of the accident was under investigation.
