CHINO HILLS -- A Chino Hills High School band teacher has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a 16-year-old female student.
The girl reported to Chino Hills police that she was sexually involved with 30-year-old Justin Wallin while he was her band teacher.
The victimÂ’s parents discovered sexually explicit text messages on the her cell phone that were sent from Wallin, according to authorities.
After reviewing their phone bill, they found over 8,000 text messages from Wallin to the girl.
Police began an investigation and obtained unspecified evidence regarding the allegations.
Wallin was arrested Thursday at the Chino Hills High School campus. He is currently employed by the Chino Hills School District.
He was transported and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for unlawful sexual intercourse, oral copulation and sexual penetration with a foreign object.
Wallin has since been released on $100,000 bail.
Detectives are concerned that there may be additional victims and are asking that anyone who has information regarding the suspect or believes they may have been a victim to contact Chino Hills police at (909) 364-2061.
