FOREST FALLS, Calif. (KTLA) -- Two men in San Bernardino County are accused of shooting at two bear cubs, killing one of them.

It happened early Thursday outside a home in Forest Falls.

Sheriff's deputies say the two cubs were looking for food stored in the bed of a pickup truck outside the house when two men began shooting at them.

One cub was killed and the other ran away, possibly wounded.

The Department of Fish and Game is investigating the shooting. The men were not immediately arrested.
