SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KTLA) -- Authorities are searching for the hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a bicyclist in South Los Angeles.
Enrique Lemus Bautista, 50, was riding his bicycle along Avalon Boulevard at Redondo Beach Boulevard around 9 p.m. Tuesday when he was struck by a dark-colored vehicle, CHP officials said. It was not known if the vehicle was speeding.
Bautista was pronounced dead at the scene.
Due to conflicting witness statements, it was not immediately known who had the right-of-way at the time of the accident, investigators said.
The suspect's vehicle was described as possibly a black BMW.
No further information was available.
