SACRAMENTO -- A woman dressed only in a bikini led CHP officers bizarre chase spanning nearly 50 miles.

The lengthy chase came to an abrupt end when police used the PIT maneuver to spin the suspects GEO Tracker.

According to authorities, police began pursuit of 47-year-old Annette Hurd after she allegedly struck another vehicle on Highway 12 in Rio Vista on Sunday afternoon.

Speeds topped more than 100 miles per hour at times as Hurd managed to avoid several attempts to destroy her tires with spike strips.

Herd was finally taken into custody on charges of evading police with disregard to public safety, driving with a suspended license, throwing objects from the vehicle while moving, driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance, reckless driving, and felony hit and run.

She is being held in Solano County Jail without bail.

Police suspect drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.
