WATTS -- A woman has been fatally struck by a northbound Metro Blue Line train.
It happened just after 1:18 p.m. near 11528 S. Wilmington Ave. in Watts, according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The fatally injured woman, whose name was not immediately released, was 55-years old, Scott said.
Rail passengers are being routed around the accident scene in buses.
