Police Follow Trail of Footprints to Find Stolen Goods
POMONA -- Pomona police nabbed four burglary suspects after following a trail of footprints from a burgled house to the suspects' garage, which was filled with stolen goods.

The thieves took electronics and other property from a home in the 600 block of Fellows Place while the resident was at work on Friday night, said Pomona police Lt. Alex Rilloraza.

An investigating officer found shoe prints and other evidence at the scene and, after interviewing neighbors, checked out a nearby residence.

He found the men sleeping in a garage stacked with the stolen property.

Salvador Escobedo Jr., 20, Rudi Almaguer, 23, Paul Drake, 22, and Jose Vian, 18, were arrested and held in lieu of $50,000 bail each.

Items believed to have been stolen in other burglaries were also found in the garage and booked into evidence.

The four men are scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday in Pomona Superior Court.
