CARSON, Calif. (KTLA) -- A car crashed into a Mexican restaurant Tuesday in Carson leaving one person injured.
The Ford Focus careened into the Las Palmas Cafe in the 23900 block of South Avalon Boulevard about 11:40 a.m., according to Los Angeles County Fire officials.
A couple in their 80s were in the car when the husband -- who was driving --accidentally accelerated and crashed into the restaurant.
Debris thrown by the crash struck a 40-year-old woman inside, officials said. She sustained minor injuries.
