LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles police are searching for a pair of suspects who stole more than $1 million worth of cargo from three area warehouses.
Detectives say the suspects used a stolen big rig truck and broke into a warehouse in the Harbor Gateway area eight days ago, on October 26, stealing dozens of Samsung television sets. Investigators say the driver had a fake driver's license and other fake documents.
The same suspects hit two other warehouses, stealing vitamin supplements and women's clothing.
Detectives are looking for the truck, which was reported stolen from Ontario on Oct. 24. The trailer had the numbers 411772 marked across the rear exterior doors.
Police described both suspects as 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, 250 to 280 pounds, and 28 to 40 years old. One man had a "muscular build" while the other was "heavy set," according to detectives.
Anyone with information about the thefts or the big rig was asked to call detectives Yvette Moreno or Jeanette Santos at (213) 485-2507.
