ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST (KTLA) -- The body of a man found in the Angeles National Forest has been identified as the suspect in a fatal shooting at a nearby campground last week.
A hiker discovered 53-year-old Kevin Pochter of Huntington Beach at 8:30 a.m. Monday, with a handgun nearby, sheriff's officials said.
Authorities were looking for Pochter, in the fatal shooting of his friend Dean Albert.
Sheriff's detectives found Albert's body on Thursday after receiving a report of a shooting at the Chantry Flats Campground near Santa Anita Canyon Road.
A passerby discovered Albert's body on the side of the road not far from his vehicle with a gunshot wound on his upper body.
Pochter allegedly dumped Albert's car at Mount Wilson Observatory Saturday.
