COMPTON, Calif. (KTLA) -- Authorities are investigating the deputy-involved shooting of a suspect in Compton.
It happened around 8:15 a.m. Wednesday in the 1400 block of Pearl Avenue, near Peck.
Deputies were trying to serve a search warrant when the shooting happened.
The circumstances that prompted the deputy to open fire were not immediately clear.
Paramedics were called to the scene, and the suspect was transported to an area hospital.
His injuries were non life-threatening.
No deputies were injured.
