PALMDALE -- Some 2,000 homes were evacuated as a result of the 'Crown Fire' that is burning out of control west of Palmdale in northern Los Angeles County.

As of Friday morning, all evacuation orders have been lifted.

Rancho Vista residents have been advised to prepare to evacuate at a moments notice.

The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, Palmdae station is requesting all residents along Elizabeth Lake Rd from 20th Street West to 30th Street West,and residents South of Avenue N between Godde Hill and Rancho Vista Blvd to take shelter in place to facilitate fire crews' abilities to fight the fire.
