NETANYA, Israel -- At least three people are dead and dozens more wounded after a massive explosion ripped through a building in Netanya, north of Tel Aviv, Israeli radio reported.
Police said preliminary indications are that a gas tank exploded, but officials say nothing is certain.
The top floor of the four-story building in the Atzmaut Square area collapsed, CNN affiliate Channel 2 reported.
Police reported "widescale destruction" in the blast area, with a number of nearby buildings heavily damaged, according to The Jerusalem Post.
It is believed that many other people may still be trapped inside.
