LOS ANGELES,Calif. (KTLA) -- "Sex in the City " star Sarah Jessica Parker will take over Demi Moore's role as feminist Gloria Steinem in Lovelace, according to Us Weekly. Parker officially signed on for the part Friday.

Moore pulled out of the project earlier this week after she was hospitalized. The movie tells the story of 70s porn star Linda Lovelace.

Meantime, city officials have released an edited version of a frantic 911 call made from actress Demi Moore's home earlier this week.

The call was placed about 10:45 p.m. Monday from Moore's Benedict Canyon home.

It begins with minutes of confusion over whether L.A. City or Beverly Hills should be handling the call.

Eventually a woman says that Demi smoked something that "was not marijuana," but was "similar to incense," and that she is "having convulsions of some sort."

"She smoked something, but the reaction was accidental," the woman tells the dispatcher.

She also says that Demi is only semi-conscious and is "burning up."

"She's been having some issues lately with some other stuff, so I don't know what she's been taking," the woman says.

"There's been some stuff recently that we're all just finding out," she echoes later in the call.

A man who gets on the phone toward the end of the call says that Demi "seems to have calmed down and is speaking."

The tape was edited to remove references to specific drugs or other substances to comply with federal medical privacy laws, according to the City Attorney's office.

TMZ reports that Moore was doing "whip-its" -- a type of nitrous oxide inhalant -- before paramedics were called.

Paramedics responded and took the 49-year old to the hospital.

Moore has been released from the hospital, and is currently being treated for what her rep says is "exhaustion."

The actress was recently chosen to play feminist Gloria Steinem in an upcoming biopic about "Deep Throat" star Linda Lovelace.

Moore's rep released a statement saying the actress will no longer be working on that project.

The statement went on to say: "Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health. She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends."
