EAST LOS ANGELES (KTLA) -- Sheriffs have identified the suspects involved in a shooting Saturday morning in which an off-duty deputy injured and another in stable condition.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the incident occurred around 4:00am in a parking lot on the 4500 block of East Third Street when three suspects approached a group of off-duty deputies.

Antony Carlin, 24, Michael Gomez, 24, and Alexander Galarza, 22, got into a verbal altercation with three off-duty deputies and two civilians.

A statement from Sheriff's said the suspects began to walk away after the deputies identified themselves. Carlin returned, produced a knife and allegedly stabbed one of the deputies in the abdomen.

Another deputy defensively shot at Carlin, striking him in the abdomen.

Both the deputy, whose identity has not been released, and Carlin were transported to a local hospital for treatment, and are in stable condition, officials said.

The three suspects have been arrested for attempted murder on a police officer and are being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
