SEATTLE -- A doctor is in big trouble for writing prescriptions and exchanging them for sexual favors.

The 72 year old doctor and surgeon has an office at Seattle's Harborview Medical Center and also works out of the University of Washington Medical Center.

Deputies arrested him Monday for prescription forgery.

Officials say the doctor may have committed at least 34 counts of prescription forgery.

They believe he wrote prescriptions in return for money and sex with a woman.

The woman is not a patient.

The prescriptions were filled at a number of local pharmacies.

The prescriptions were for Xanex, Oxycontin, or Percocet.

Oxycontin and Percocet are considered narcotics.

Officials say the woman is 22 years old and will face charges as well.

Documents reveal the woman suffered from a severe addiction to prescription medication.

The doctor allegedly met the woman multiple times over several months through an online escort service where she advertised sex for money.

The Department of Health and Medical Quality Assurance Commission has suspended the doctor's medical license.

The doctor cannot practice medicine in the state until charges are resolved.

Detectives expect the Prosecutor's Office will file charges shortly.
