LOS ANGELES -- Two people have been arrested on suspicion of DUI after a pair of freeway crashes in downtown Los Angeles that occurred in the same location. One of the collisions was captured on video.

The first crash was reported just after 2 a.m. Friday on the eastbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway between the Harbor (110) Freeway and Maple Avenue, according to the CHP. The female driver told police that the crash involved another vehicle, which drove off. The woman was later arrested for driving under the influence.

Minutes later, a second car, with three people inside, came barreling down the freeway and slammed into the woman's stalled vehicle. A backseat passenger was hospitalized for unknown injuries.
