LOS ANGELES -- Three Department of Water and Power workers are recovering from injuries after they were struck by a suspected drunk driver in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles.
The employees were working on an underground vault in the 5800 block of Franklin Ave. around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday when the driver went through the work zone and hit them, according to the LAPD.
The car also struck a DWP vehicle.
The female driver was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, officials said. Her two passengers were not injured.
All three DWP workers were hospitalized in stable condition. Their injuries were described as minor.
Police say the area was marked off with cones.
