MURRIETTA -- A woman accused of growing marijuana and keeping explosives in her home, which served as a daycare center, is out of custody on $100,000 bail, along with one of her sons, pending arraignment next month.

Rebecca Kuzelka, 55, and another son, Grey Timothy Kuzelka, 21, were arrested last week on suspicion of possession of explosives, cultivation of marijuana and child endangerment.

Benjamin Kuzelka, who is on probation for a 2007 conviction for drug possession and marijuana sales, will be taken to the county jail when he recovers from his injuries, according to sheriff's Sgt. Dennis Gutierrez.

Gutierrez said that Benjamin Kuzelka, 23, walked into a hospital late Wednesday, saying he had shot himself in his hand. But the injuries were not consistent with a gunshot wound and hospital officials reported the incident to the sheriff's department.

At Kuzelka's home in the 30500 block of Audelo Street, deputies found a large amount of high explosives and hazardous materials, including a very powerful liquid explosive called TATP.

TATP, or acetone peroxide, was used in the London bombings and suspected in the current Zazi alleged terrorism case.

Investigators also uncovered a sophisticated marijuana growing facility and a large amount of Neo-nazi literature, Gutierrez said.

"We do believe that when all this illegal activity was going on, that children were present," he said.

No children were home at the time of the explosion, authorities said.

A hazardous device team responded to the scene, defused some explosives early Thursday and was working to remove the explosive materials.

Riverside County sheriff's detectives, FBI investigators and bomb technicians and agents with the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms are investigating.

Rebecca Kuzelka had a license to supervise up to eight children at a time at the home, authorities said, but no children are believed to have been at the home when the blast occurred.
