AZUSA, Calif. -- Sheriff's officials are investigating the death of a one-year-old girl near Azusa.
The child's death was reported around noon on Wednesday on the 18300 block of Armistead Street, between Citrus and Cerritos Avenue.
A man who lives in the home told authorities that the victim and her parents were living in the garage of the home.
The babysitter found the girl unconscious and tried to revive her, said L.A. County Sheriff's Lt. Patrick Nelson.
The child was rushed her to Queen of the Valley hospital where she was pronounced dead, said Nelson.
The cause of death has not yet been determined, but authorities say the child may have suffered a fall.
No arrests have been made, but the child's death is being investigated.
