Man held for exposing himself

GLENDALE (KTLA) -- A 34-year-old man is facing indecent exposure and drug charges after allegedly driving around town naked from the waist down.

Police initially pulled Umar Khan over around 2:30 a.m. Thursday on Doverwood Drive for running a stop sign.

When they approached his car, officers noted Khan wasn't wearing pants or underwear, according to their report.

Khan allegedly told police: My thing is the freedom.

Police arrested Khan on suspicion of indecent exposure, possessing methamphetamine and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

According to investigators, Khan often drives around late at night without his pants on looking for a place to masturbate, Sgt. Tom Lorenz told the Glendale News-Press.

He reportedly prefers driveways and residential cul-de-sacs.

Khan has a previous conviction for indecent exposure in 1998.
