MEXICO CITY, Mexico -- A magnitude 6.0 earthquake has struck the Gulf of California, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake hit at 5 a.m. Friday about 42 miles southwest of the city Ahome in Sinaloa state.
The temblor was centered about 661 miles southeast of Tijuana.
No damage or injuries were immediately reported.
