HUNTINGTON PARK -- Los Angeles County Sheriff's detectives are searching for the gunman who shot and killed a woman and wounded a man in the Huntington Park area.
It happened just after 1:00 a.m. in the 2400 block of Grand Avenue.
The woman, whose name was withheld pending family notification, was found in a vehicle whose engine was running, and the man was found nearby.
Investigators say the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The wounded man was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
Sheriff's homicide detectives are investigating the shooting. There's no word on a motive.
It's not yet known how many suspects are being sought.
