KEELER -- A moderate earthquake struck in a desert area of Central California Saturday afternoon.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the 4.7-magnitude quake hit just before 4 p.m.
It was centered about seven miles southeast of Keeler, a small town in Inyo County next to Owens Lake.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
