LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. (KTLA) -- Riverside County sheriff's investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying a man they say tried to abduct a boy Monday in Lake Elsinore.
Deputies responded to a report of the attempted kidnapping about 3:15 p.m. near the intersection of Lincoln Street and Wayfarer Lane. They spoke with the boy and his 18-year-old brother, who said they were walking south on Lincoln Street when the man pulled up in a silver Toyota truck.
The man reached out and grabbed the 11-year-old boy by the arm and told the him to get into the truck, according to a sheriff's news release. The boy broke free and ran away.
The suspect then drove away, heading north on Lincoln Street.
He is described as a Latino man, about 60-years-old with medium build, black hair, dark-colored glasses and a tattoo on his right forearm. He wore a grew sweatshirt.
