EAST LOS ANGELES -- A group of Lakers fans took their excitement to the streets Thursday night and began rocking vehicles as they tried to pass through an intersection in East Los Angeles.
The group comprised of mostly area residents gathered at Whittier and Atlantic boulevards following the Lakers' 99-91 victory over the Orlando Magic in Orlando, Fla., a sheriff's sergeant at the East Los Angeles Station said.
Video showed a large group of people rocking a sport utility vehicle that had stopped at the intersection as well as several other vehicles passing through.

Sheriff's deputies immediately began blocking off streets in the area while peacefully trying to clear the crowds.
The crowd began thinning out around 11 a.m., according to sheriff's officials.
No injuries were reported and no vehicles were damaged.
Two juveniles were arrested for damaging barricades.
The victory gave the Lakers a three games to one lead in the best-of- seven series.
Game 5 will be played Sunday in Orlando, with a victory giving the Lakers their 15th championship.
Thursday night's celebration was nowhere near the intensity of a riot that erupted back in 2000 following the Lakers' NBA title win over the Indiana Pacers. Some 10,000 fans went on a rampage outside Staples Center, burning cars, smashing windows and attacking police.
