LOS ANGELES -- Actor Charlie Sheen and his estranged wife, Brooke Mueller, have reached a custody agreement, according to the couple's lawyers.
Details of the custody decision were not made immediately available.
The couple has twin boys.
The agreement comes after Los Angeles police officers conducted a search at Sheen's Sherman Oaks home Thursday night looking for weapons, according to police.
Officers were looking for guns that might be in violation of a restraining order granted to Mueller last week.
Officers began searching the home after getting reports that the actor may have guns in the house that are prohibited by the order. His attorney was informed of the search before it began.
Sheen was at home when police arrived and was "cooperative".
Sheen posted on Twitter about 9:50 p.m. Thursday, "all good here on the homefront. all reports are false. I'll explain more very soon."
He tweeted again about 10:18 p.m.: "fastball; the LAPD were AWESOME. Absolute pros! they can protect and serve this Warlock anytime!!!"
Police finished their search just after 10:30 p.m., and Sheen was not arrested.
Sheen's attorney, Mark Gross, said police found an antique rifle from the 1800's and a few bullets. Gross said there were no other weapons in the house.
Gross also said he did not know who called police to say Sheen had a gun.
TMZ reports that the caller indicated Charlie had threatened to harm himself with a gun. Gross did not comment on that report.
LAPD officials say weapons searches are routine cases such as this when a restraining order is involved.
The raid comes on the same day that Sheen announced he was filing a $100 million dollar lawsuit against Warner Brothers and the creator of "Two and a Half Men".
Sheen, the highest paid actor in Hollywood, was fired from the show last week.
