LOS ANGELES -- A man found dead inside a restroom at Los Angeles International Airport committed suicide, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner.
Dominico Doy Nguyen, 35, had a bag over his head and had his hands bound together when his body was discovered by an airport janitor around 7:45 a.m. Wednesday inside a Terminal 3 restroom.
According to the coroner's report, Nguyen suffocated himself to death.
An airport janitor found the man slumped over in a stall around 7:45 a.m. inside a restroom located in Terminal 3, before the screening area, according to Albert Rodriguez, a spokesman for LAX.
Airport police, who were initially called to investigate the discovery, notified the LAPD's Robbery Homicide division, Rodriguez said.
A public records search by the Daily Breeze found that Nguyen was an Asian refugee who came to the United States sometime between 1975 and 1979.
