Sexual Assault Suspect

LONG BEACH -- Police are asking the public's help in finding a man who sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl in an alley a week ago.

A sketch of the suspect has been released today. He is described as an Hispanic man in his late 20s, 5 feet 7 inches tall and around 190 pounds, with dark hair.

The attack happened around 2 a.m. on June 15, according to Long Beach police Sgt. Dina Zapalski.

The victim was walking near Second Street and Livingston Drive when the suspect coerced her into an alley. Shortly thereafter, the suspect physically and sexually assaulted her, Zapalski said.

The suspect was last seen walking west on Shaw Street.

He was wearing a green-and-blue plaid button-down shirt, a light blue or white undershirt, dark denim jeans, and brown and white Vans-style skater shoes.
