ONTARIO, Calif. (KTLA) -- Police arrested a man Saturday at Ontario International Airport when he allegedly tried to bring a loaded handgun and ammunition aboard a flight in his carry-on bag.
Transportation Security Administration officers stopped Bradley Thomas Bauder, 33, of Redlands about 11 a.m. Saturday at the airport's Terminal 4 when they found a loaded .40 caliber hand gun with two fully-loaded magazines, according to a TSA news release.
Witnesses told TSA officers they heard Bauder -- who was scheduled to fly to Phoenix, Ariz. -- say he forgot he left the weapon in his bag, officials said.
Airport police arrested Bauder on suspicion of possession of a loaded gun in a public place, a misdemeanor. He was briefly booked at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga before being cited and released, according to booking records.
