COTO DE CAZA, Calif. -- A former major league baseball pitcher and husband of a "Real Housewives of Orange County" cast member is facing drunk driving charges -- again.
54 year old Matt Keough was arrested Saturday on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and evading arrest, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies arrested Keough at his Coto de Caza home around 1:30 p.m. after he failed to stop at a stop sign, according to Jim Amormino, spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff's Department. Amormino says Keough failed to stop after officers flashed their lights at him, so they followed him to his home and placed him under arrest..
A blood test found Keough's blood alcohol level about 0.29, nearly four times the legal limit of .08 percent, the Sheriff's Department said.
Keough was released from Central Men's Jail in Santa Ana at 1:13 a.m. on Sunday after posting bail of $10,000.
Keough pitched for the Oakland A's, New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs and Houston Astros from the late '70's to the mid '80's. He also appeared along with his former Playboy centerfold wife and three teenage children, in the reality TV show "The Real Housewives of Orange County."
In 2005, Keough pleaded guilty to felony charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after he crashed his SUV into another SUV at a Rancho Santa Margarita red light. He was also arrested in 2007 on charges he violated the terms of his parole and in January 2008 was sentenced to 180 days in jail.
