Woman Claims MEGA Millions Prize Over $300,000

CARSON (KTLA) -- A woman identified only as 'Ernestina O.' walked into the California Lottery's Santa Fe Springs District Office on Thursday to claim a prize worth $319,468.

She was one of two winners that matched five of six numbers in the Mega Millions draw that took place December 20th.

Ernestina said she thought she was going to have a heart attack when she checked her ticket and realized she was one of the winners.

She purchased the winning ticket at Rob's Liquor, which is located at 2615 East Carson Street in Carson. T

he ticket matched the numbers 24, 45, 51, 27, and 20, missing only the Mega number of 31.

The California Lottery reminds winners to sign the back of their ticket, keep tickets in a safe place and contact Lottery officials or visit their local Lottery District Office as soon as possible.

Winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim prizes.
