Michelle Braun (O.C. Sherifff's Dept.)
SANTA ANA -- A mother of two pleaded guilty to charges of operating a multi-million dollar online prostitution ring that advertised L.A. area porn stars, models, and actresses.
31 year old Michelle Braun pleaded guilty to money laundering and transporting a person from Orange County to New York City for purposes of prostitution, changing her previous not-guilty plea which was entered on May 11th in front of a federal court in Santa Ana.
Braun is accused of running her online company, "Global Travel Network Inc." as a front for prostitution, according to court records.
The 71 prostitutes employed by Braun were advertised to be "stars in their own right"-- top fashion models, pornography magazine centerfolds, and Hollywood actresses, the records said.
Clients allegedly paid a $1,500 initiation fee and $50,000 for one night of services with Braun's girls, who were mostly Los Angeles residents.
The identities of Braun's clientele have not been officially released, but according to a previous statement form Braun's attorney, Marc Nurik, the client list seized from her cell phones and laptop include some well known celebrities and public figures.
"Let's just say you'd be shocked," Nurik said. "They ranged from captains of industry, Hollywood types, sports figures and even people more influential."
Court prosecutors recommended Braun be sentenced to a fine of $30,000, 6 months of home confinement and five years probation.
Braun's sentencing date is set for October 19th. She is currently free on bond.
