MONTCLAIR -- Police are searching for suspects after a bottle bomb exploded at the Macy's department store at the Montclair Plaza Monday.
No one was hurt in the incident but the entire store was evacuated as a precaution.
A second unexploded bomb was also found at the store, according to Montclair police Lt. Robert Avels.
The incident took place around 3:40 p.m. on the second floor of the Macy's department store.
Firefighters and members of the Ontario Bomb Squad responded to the called and secured the two bombs. No other devices were discovered.
Experts say bottle bombs, which are usually a plastic soda bottle filled with liquid and dry ice or DRANO, explode and can cause severe injuries to anyone standing nearby, Avels said.
50 employees and dozens of shoppers were evacuated during the incident.
