NUEVO, Calif. (KTLA) -- Sheriff's investigators are searching for a man they say tried to abduct a 15-year-old girl as she walked home from school Monday in Nuevo.
The teen told police that the man stopped in a white mini-van about 3:30 p.m. as she walked near the intersection of Lakeview Avenue and 10th Street and tried to pull her inside.
The girl broke away and ran to a nearby house to call police, according to a news release issued by the Riverside County Sheriff's department. She was not injured.
Sheriff's investigators have released a sketch of the man they are looking for.
He is described as a Latino male about 6 feet tall, with two vertical scars on his face and a dark mole under his eye.
