LAGUNA HILLS, Calif. (KTLA) -- A school bus driver has been charged with molesting three children, all under the age of 14.

Shane Norman Crawford, 37, worked as a bus driver for 12 years, most recently for First Student Transportation Services, driving buses for several schools in Orange County, according to Orange County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jim Amormino.

Crawford is charged with five felony counts of lewd acts with a child under 14 and a sentencing enhancement for sex crimes against multiple victims.

The crimes allegedly took place at his apartment on the 2500 block of Stockport Street.

The victims were described as a boy and a girl younger than 14 years old and a 3-year-old child.

The children were not related to Crawford, nor did he meet them through his work as a school bus driver.

Authorities believe he earned the trust of their parents, who them allowed them to be alone in his home.

One of the victims told their grandmother, who then alerted authorities of the crime.

Crawford was booked on three charges of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor. He is being held on $100,000 bail.

Authorities say there may be additional victims because Crawford's job put him in close proximity with children.
