ORANGE -- Authorities are searching for the killer of a woman who was found stabbed to death inside her upscale home in Orange.

Cheryl Rose Wynn, 48, was found around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, after her husband told police that he came home and found his wife on the floor bleeding.

Firefighters and police arrived at a home in the 1200 block of North Palo Loma Place, near Elsinore Avenue, and found the woman's body, said Orange police Sgt. Dan Adams.

Homicide detectives have interviewed Wynn's husband but have not identified any suspects in the case nor determined a motive for the crime, Adams said.

"Although there were no signs of forced entry, it's still very possible it was a burglary," Adams said. "We don't know if all the doors had been locked."

The Wynns live in a "quiet neighborhood" where crime is unusual, Adams added.

Investigators are looking into several possible motives, Adams said, adding that, "this one's not going to be an easy one to solve."

Anyone with information regarding the homicide is asked to call Orange police Det. Aaron Towner at 714-744-7456.
