HUNTINGTON BEACH -- Mixed martial arts star Tito Ortiz won't face domestic violence charges from an altercation with his ex-porn star girlfriend last month.
The Orange County district attorney's office said Thursday there isn't enough information to prove domestic violence.
Ortiz was arrested April 26 at the home he shares with Jenna Jameson and their two young sons.
The porn star and boyfriend of four years are reportedly withdrawing allegations that led to Ortiz's arrest on felony domestic violence charges.
Jameson is telling TMZ, "What actually happened has now been dramatically distorted and misinterpreted and remarks that both Tito and I made after the police arrived reflect the state of shock that we were both in."
Jameson had accused Ortiz of grabbing her and throwing her into the bathtub, tearing two ligaments in her shoulder.
Ortiz, 35, was arrested Monday morning at the Huntington Harbour home the couple shares with their 13-month-old twin boys.
Jameson's father made the 911 call after the two began arguing. "There was no drinking, no drugs. It was just a family spat," Massili told KTLA.
He also said the couple's children did not witness the incident.
Police responded to the home in the 16700 block of Baruna Lane just before 10:00 a.m. Monday after a receiving a 911 call regarding a "domestic disturbance," according to Lt. Mike Reynolds of the Huntington Beach Police Department.
Ortiz, whose birth name is Jacob Christopher Ortiz, was handcuffed and arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, Reynolds said.
Jameson, 36, had "visible injuries" when officers spoke to her about what happened, Reynolds said. She was later spotted at a pharmacy with a bandage wrapped around her elbow.
Ortiz, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound former light heavyweight champ of Ultimate Fighting, was booked at the Huntington Beach Jail on suspicion of felony domestic violence.
He was released on $25,000 bail.
Ortiz held a press conference Monday night with his lawyer, Chip Matthews, and declared his innocence.
Matthews, who did most of the talking, said Jameson has been battling an addiction to Oxycontin for "well over a year."
Matthews said Jameson "had a relapse" Monday morning and Tito confronted her about some drugs he found.
"I want to be quite clear, he continued, "Tito Ortiz never laid a hand on Jenna."
Jameson denied the drug addiction claims.
Matthews now says the whole ordeal was "a big misunderstanding," according to TMZ.
Ortiz now claims he found two Oxycontin pills and may have jumped to conclusions, starting the argument. Jameson says the pills were very old.
Jameson tested negatives for drugs this week, according to TMZ.
Ortiz was the Ultimate Fighting Championship's light heavyweight champion from 2000 to 2003.
He was a star wrestler at Huntington Beach High School and Golden West College.
According to court records this isn't Ortiz' first brush with the law.
The UFC star was sentenced to jail in 1998 after pleading guilty to charges of "battery with serious bodily injury."
Ortiz was sentenced to three years probation, 29 days in jail and 232 hours of community service.
TMZ is reporting that Ortiz stands to lose $15 million if he's prosecuted for domestic violence.
