HOLLYWOOD --Unless you plan on walking the red carpet today,
you'll want to steer clear of Hollywood, where several roads around the Kodak
Theatre are closed for the Academy Awards.
Starting about 4 a.m. today, Hollywood Boulevard will be closed from La Brea Avenue to Cahuenga Boulevard, and Highland Avenue will be closed down between Franklin Avenue and Sunset Boulevard. Those roads are expected to be closed until about 6 a.m. Tuesday to accommodate crews cleaning up after the show.
Several side streets intersecting Hollywood Boulevard also will be closed, as will the Highland Avenue offramp from the southbound Hollywood (101) Freeway.
Metro subway trains will bypass the Hollywood and Highland station until about 6 a.m. Monday.
Parking restrictions will be in place on numerous streets on Sunday, and violators will be towed.
