Hye Son and Vilma Ramirez (Redondo Beach Police Department) |
REDONDO BEACH, Calif. ( KTLA) -- Two women have been arrested on suspicion of prostitution after undercover officers raided massage parlors in Redondo Beach.
Vilma Ramirez, 33, was arrested at Lee's Acupuncture on Aviation Blvd. and Hye Son, 32, was arrested at Ocean Acupuncture on Artesia Blvd., according to Redondo Beach Police Sgt. Jon Naylor.
Officers posed as customers after people complained about prostitution at several massage parlors. Police say the women agreed to perform a sexual act in exchange for money.
Ramirez and Son were booked at the Redondo Beach jail last Wednesday and released on their own recognizance.
Police say they also determined the businesses violated their city permits.
Authorities say a business manager and masseuse at a third business -- Ace Acupressure on Artesia Blvd. -- were cited for operating without state or city permits.
Three women were arrested last month in a similar sting operation in the city.
